Sherry Qian

Liangshun (Sherry) Qian is a Principal in the Legal & Compliance department and the Chief Compliance Officer of Carlyle’s SEC-registered broker-dealer. She is based in Washington DC.

Prior to joining Carlyle, she was a financial services regulatory associate at Allen & Overly LLP where she advised international financial institutions on a broad range of regulatory and transactional issues. Prior to that, Ms. Qian worked at Paul Hastings LLP's Shanghai office for three years, advising clients on M&A, general corporate and employment matters.

Ms. Qian received her JD from Columbia Law School. She also received a law degree from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. 

Ms. Qian is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
