Matthew Curtis

Matthew Curtis is a Managing Director - Partner and Head of Financial Institution Relationship Management. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Matthew served as Managing Director and Head of US Capital Markets at King Street Capital Management, where he was responsible for sourcing investments and furthering trusted relationships with a wide range of banks, sponsors, and advisors. Prior to King Street, Matthew spent 21 years at Goldman Sachs, where he served in a variety of client-facing roles across Debt Capital Markets and Credit Sales, ultimately managing Fixed Income Multi-Asset Platform Sales business. During his time at Goldman, Matthew earned a reputation for enhancing business growth through strategic collaboration across businesses and divisions to deliver innovative solutions to clients.

Matthew serves on the Wall Street Leadership Committee at the University of Notre Dame, and the Finance Committee at St. John’s Preparatory School. He is also a stakeholder in Notre Dame’s Lab for Economic Opportunities.

Matthew received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
