Dr. Martin Madaus

Dr. Martin Madaus is an Operating Executive focused on the healthcare industry.

Dr. Madaus most recently served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (a Carlyle portfolio company) from 2014 to 2019 and as a consultant to Carlyle in the healthcare sector from 2011 to 2014. Previously, he was President, Chairman and CEO of Millipore Corporation, which was acquired by Merck KGaA, from 2005 to 2010 and CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America from 1999 to 2004.

Dr. Madaus is the current Lead Director of Quanterix and serves on the board of Syneron Candela. Previously, he served on the boards of Pharmaceutical Product Development (a Carlyle portfolio company), Mettler Toledo and Covidien. He earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Munich, Germany and a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary University of Hannover, Germany.
