Deborah Mirabal Polites

Deborah Mirabal Polites is the Chief Operating Officer of Global Research & Investment Strategy at The Carlyle Group where she is also focused on portfolio management for separately managed accounts. She is based in New York.

Prior to joining Carlyle, she was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs where she was Chief of Staff to the Global Head and COO of the Global Investment Research division and co-author of several publications focused on portfolio analysis and corporate advisory topics. Previously, Deborah was a strategic marketer and content creator for the alternative investments businesses within the Goldman Sachs Investment Management Division and a founding member of the division’s Editorial Board. She began her career in the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group at Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong, where she focused on customized private equity solutions for institutional and high net worth investors across the U.S. and Asia and product management of private equity primary, co-investment and secondary funds.

Deborah earned a BA in International & Global Studies, with a Global Economics concentration, from Brandeis University. She holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
